The game is played with a hard leather ball and wooden bats. The game's objective is for one team to score more runs than the other team by hitting the ball and running between two sets of wickets, which are three wooden stumps with two bails on top of them. The team that is fielding tries to prevent the other team from scoring runs by bowling the ball and fielding the ball when it is hit.

Cricket has different formats, including Test cricket, One Day International (ODI) cricket, and Twenty20 (T20) cricket. Test cricket is the oldest and longest format of the game, played over five days, while ODI cricket is limited to 50 overs per side, and T20 cricket is limited to 20 overs per side.

Cricket has a rich history and a strong tradition, with many famous players and memorable matches. It is also a sport closely associated with national identity and pride in many countries.

About Cricket | How To Play Cricket

Cricket is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. Here are the basic steps to play cricket:

  1. The game starts with a coin toss to decide which team will bat or bowl first.

  2. The team that wins the toss chooses whether to bat or bowl first.

  3. The team that bats send two players called "batsmen" to the pitch to face the bowlers from the opposing team.

  4. The bowlers try to get the batsmen out by bowling the ball in such a way that it hits the stumps, or by causing the batsman to hit the ball in the air, which can be caught by a fielder.

  5. The batsmen score runs by hitting the ball and running to the opposite end of the pitch, swapping positions with the other batsman.

  6. The team that is fielding tries to prevent the batting team from scoring runs by stopping the ball and throwing it back to the wicketkeeper or bowler.

  7. After a set number of overs, the teams switch roles, with the batting team becoming the fielding team and vice versa.

  8. The game continues until all batsmen from one team are out or until the set number of overs is completed.

The team that scores the most runs at the end of the game wins. These are the basic rules of cricket, and there are many variations depending on the format of the game. It is recommended to learn the game under the supervision of a coach or experienced player to fully understand the rules and techniques involved.
